| | |  Robbie Coltrane talks end of Harry Potter films & costars
While he promoted his upcoming made-for-television film Murderland (airing on STV, 9pm, October 19), actor Robbie Coltrane spoke about how the end of the Harry Potter series might affect not only him in a negative way, but his young co-stars, as well. Quote:
"I regret the ending of Harry Potter for the obvious reasons of saying goodbye to a bunch of people with whom I've become very friendly over the years, but also because I will be giving up a regular income.You don't get too much of that in the world of acting."
As for the acting futures of his co-stars, including Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, Robbie said: Quote:
"For them the conclusion of the films will be like leaving school, saying goodbye to friends and going out into the big, wide world.
"It's a huge step and it wouldn't be surprising if some of them, at least, felt nervous about making it."
Robbie will be featured as Hagrid in the final installments of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, to be released November 19, 2010 and July 15, 2011.  | |

Honestly I wish they'd all stop talking about THE END it's sad really, I can't believe the movies are going to come to an end just like with the book.  I think Robbie's right too about it being like getting out of school ... I'm sure it's going to be very emotional.

I too cannot believe the movies are going to end
I have no idea what I will do after the movies come out...
But at least I can do a TRUE Harry Potter marathon with all of the movies

I'm sorry, but I think all great things are great because they've got a start and an end. HP movies are becoming worse year after year (even if HBP is a little bit better than HP3/4/5).

Robbie is so awesome. I thought of him last night actually. I was watching National Lampoons Europe Vacation and realized he's in it! 
Clark and Ellen are in the bathroom in the hotel (and the bathroom is shared by the entire floor). Ellen is in the tub with a cloth over her eyes relaxing and Clark leaves the restroom unbeknown to Ellen. Some other guy (Robbie) walks in, again unbeknown to Ellen and she starts err *clears throat* requesting her husband's attention... (She thought he was still in the restroom with her). Well, he starts to disrobe with a good bit of haste and Ellen finally removes the cloth on her eyes and realizes it’s not her husband.
When I realized it was him was all NO WAY! OMG! 
He was also in Oceans Twelve... ahh ya'll prolly already know all this lol Robbie Coltrane | |

I keep getting images in my head when they say the end is close.
I picture the giant doors of Leavesden Studios closing slowly and everyone is walking away. Then Dan stops back and stares at the door with Emma and Rupert walking towards him. Then they grab on each other and walk into the sunset slowly, all sad and depressed. | |

erm im not sure if that part was your imagination but there isnt giant doors of Leavesden Studios, its just a reception area with a sofa and harry potter posters, ( my uncle is a member of the crew, no jokes! )

Lmao. At least he's honest. I'm pretty sure Harry Potter was huge relief for a lot of the actors and crew. 10 years of steady pay is pretty comforting. Now they're definitely going to have to step up their acting game since all the fun of Harry Potter is going to be over. But I'm sure it won't be hard because all the HP actors are so talented!  | |

I wish they'd stop asking them questions about how it's going to be when the films end, because technically, they don't end until 2011, when the final film is released. What are they going to ask the actors then? Repeat questions that we'v all heard the answer to before? But, I suppose they will stop acting in March... Eh...

No more talk about it ending It is sad- but we do have DH 1 and 2 still and HP Theme Park and the DVD's-still a ways to go for the end of Potter so to speak- HP will never end- whole new generations will be fans. | |
