| | |  Rob Knox murderer jailed for life
Yesterday we told you that Rob Knox's (Marcus Belby in Half-Blood Prince) attacker had been found guilty of his murder. Karl Bishop has today been given a life sentence for that conviction.
Bishop attacked Knox last May in a bar brawl in Kent, England, that cost the actor his life when he attemped to protect his younger brother. Bishop will serve a minimum of 20 years before being considered for parole.
He was also found guilty of wounding four other individuals, for which he will serve three further concurrent life sentences. Bishop denied both the murder and the counts of wounding. | |

I happen to agree with Becky i too live in England and if he is good he will be considered for porole after so many years and might get it

It says a "minimum of 20 years" before being considered for parole. That doesn't say "20 years per sentence" for even the fact that he has 4 life sentences.
I don't see how people with multiple life sentences can even be considered for parole. It's just not fair to the rest of the world. Even if he is "good" in prison, he still lost his chance.
At least he got sentenced life in the first place, but I don't think he deserves possibility of parole.

I really don't know how this works in the UK, but my guess is that on the first life sentence that he has he wont be considered for parole until 20 years has passed. But because he has 4 life sentences and is expected to serve a total of 80 years saying that he can't be expected to get out before then is just a way of tuning it down.
Most of the time the most prominient sentence is the one that gets the most attention and after that one has been served you will here more about that sentence.
My guess is that he will end up serving most of it..he may never be paroled..
