| | |  Richard Griffiths misses more 'Equus' shows
You may recall yesterday we told you that Richard Griffiths missed a couple of Equus performances on Saturday. It is now being reported that he also missed Friday's show and tonight's performance as well due to ill health. The Gielgud Theatre is encouraging patrons to contact the box office regarding the status of the cast for future shows or to request refunds.
Griffith's role is being played by Colin Haigh, who normally plays the stable owner; the stable owner is now being played by Jami Reid-Quarrell. According to Whatsonstage: Quote:
The unscheduled cast change seems to have caused chaos as the understudies had not had sufficient rehearsal time since the production only opened last Tuesday.
... theatregoers who attended performances at the weekend complained that Haigh was so unprepared he resorted to reading from the script.

That's terrible! I hope Richard is okay, but those understudies should have been prepared. I wouldn't want to see a popular play with someone who wasn't even prepared for it. But I hope that Richard is okay!
