Video: Rhys Ifans cast as Xenophilius Lovegood in Deathly Hallows (UPDATED)
Rhys Ifans (Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Vanity Fair, The Boat That Rocked) confirmed on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross tonight that he has been cast in Deathly Hallows. He spoke about being fitted for his costume whilst out filming in Spain for Mr. Nice a couple weeks ago. Photos of Rhys can be seen here.
While he did not say which part he would be playing, we believe that he'll be taking the role of Xenophilius Lovegood.

I watched him in The 51st State today! He was funny. I'm looking forward to finding out who he'll be, I can see where you guys (^) are coming from, I think he could pull off a Xeno.

Oh, my God. I still reckon he might be Xeno Lovegood. You said Rufus, but I think he's just a bit too young for that.
I thought the same thing but my husband did a search and he will be playing a very scarred Bill Weasley. I guess they won't be leaving the wedding or Shell Cottage out of DH.

Wasn't Domhnall Gleeson just confirmed as Bill Weasley?
I didn't think about him being Xeno before it was mentioned! But doesn't he look a bit too young for that part? Aswell as for playing Rufus.
I'm not too sure about him being in the movie. His acting has always involved odd characters, and the one he played in Notting Hill has stuck with me and...eh...
But ofcourse, this is totally different, and I'm sure he'll do an awesome job

Hmm... Bill was already cast wasn't he? Why would they need another Bill? Couldn't they just do make up and have him scarred? Weird...
