Vonnie aka
adorable_lil_thing, recently attended a special screening of '
Goblet of Fire' in Chicago. What made it so special? The fact that the Weasley twins were also there! Here is a report and pictures from the day.

Now, it was 11:55.....
At noon, the movie started, and about 12 people went past the lobby into the theater.....the rest of us waited. And waited. And waited. More people were arriving. The feel of it all was excitment, everyone would talk to anyone. Since I had so long to wait, I looked around the room. It was a ChinaTown motif with "golden" buddahs, Chinese guards (statues) horses, dragons, it was awesome. Along the walls were photos of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, enlarged photos of the walk, we saw the hands, feet and signatures of Judy Garland, Sylvester Stalone, Shirely Temple, Marilyn Monroe, all sorts. There were also posters of old movies, like The Prince and the Showgirl, the Original Oceans 11, street signs were around. This place was also unlike other theaters (in America) because they allowed smoking in the lobby and even had a Bar......
About 12:40 our beloved twins departed for their lunch break. The phrase "lunch break" sounds like it should be 30 min, right? Wrong. It was an Hour. But that's alright, I think they ate lunch with a girl with Downs Syndrome. They took a bouquet of flowers back with them, and about an hour later, the girl came out with the flowers. I thought that was rather sweet of them.
While they were gone, however, I realised the lady in front of me, who had 5 children, all 6 years old or younger, could not control them. It was bad. Terribly bad. One just does not take that many to a theater. The kids didn't even want to be there. They wanted to eat, or at least watch the movie. Those pictures were for her. Don't get me wrong, I don't care, but I don't think she should have brought all 5 with her, maybe just the older kids. That under 2 really didn't understand what was going on *snuggles the poor kid*.
When the twins left, we were all told we could go and watch the movie.....I think my mom was the only one who did. But that worked out for us, because she was able to eat then (she doesn't eat and travel well). While we waited, some fans sat on the floor, some fidgeted, and I counted my money. They wanted $20 for each item we wanted signed, and they had pictures available for us to choose from as well.
At 1:40, the Twins returned to the lobby and I called my mom out of the movie. She was a little upset about it because at that point, it was Harry, in the tub with the egg, and Moaning Mertyl making eyes at him. She says that it's GOT to be the best scene, and I had to call her out during it. Oh well. We were finally getting closer to the twins, and they are hot in the flesh. Yummy. *licks them* 20 minutes later (2:00) mom and I approached the table and had a mini argument in front of the twins:
Mom: Where do you want them to sign the DVD?
Me: *gives mother a weird look* It's your DVD...
Mom: But I bought it for you...
Me: It's still yours.
Mom: (to James), How about the inside? (Which, I shall point out, He had originally suggested. Brilliant.)
James: (as if he couldn't tell mom wouldn't make a decision on her own) Do you want it personalized?
Mom (to me): Do you want it personalised?
Me (looking at the pictures I had already decided I'd want to buy): It's your DVD
Mom: But I bought it for you
Me: *gives mother a look*
Mom: okay, fine, (to James) Just put "(insert last name here)" This way it covers Son AND Daughter.
Me: *rolls eyes and smiles at Oliver* Could you sign this one, please?
Oliver: *looks up at me (gorgeous eyes by the way)* Personalised?
Me: Yes, Yvonne. Y...v...
Oliver: Oh....*turns to employee* Is there another silver marker?
Her: *hands it to him*
Oliver: So, *writes To...."
Me: Y....v....o....n...n....e.
Oliver: *signs and passes to James who has already passed him the DVD*
Both: *sign*
Me: *sets notebook, jacket and purse on floor* Picture?
James and Oliver: *smile and stand up*
Mom: *gets on floor* (me: muahahahahaha)
All: *smiles*
When mom and I shared our mini arguement in front of them, James and Oliver smiled sheepishly and looked between us and eachother, not sure what to do. So cute. I'm in love. Truly I am. *now has truly scrumptious stuck in head*
After that, Mom and I went into the theater to watch the LAST 30 minutes of GoF. I was giddy. Excited. I didn't care if we left. I had met the twins. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEe
The following are the pictures Vonnie took:
