Ralph Fiennes/Voldemort rumor grows stronger - Summary:
The likelihood of Ralph Fiennes being cast in the role of Voldemort is steadily rising. Article: Ralph Fiennes/Voldemort rumor grows stronger The Leaky Cauldron are reporting that sources (in the plural) are reporting to them even more concerning the Ralph Fiennes/Lord Voldemort rumors and they seem to be growing stronger by the minute. They are reporting to them that he is very close to bagging the role. They're hesistant to say that it's a done deal but also say that is far more likely that this rumor is true rather than false.
Fiennes is a very well known, Oscar-nominated and BAFTA Award winning actor. His most famous movies include Schindler's List (as Amon Goeth), The English Patient (as Count Laszlo de Almásy), and Red Dragon (as Francis Dolarhyde).
He is also known for lighter fare like Maid in Manhattan and played opposite Miranda Richardson, who will play Rita Skeeter in GoF, in Spider.
You can see a headshot of the actor here.

I personally hope these rumors are true. I think he would make a great Voldemort. And he seems to have a lot of talent on screen.

Hmm, I'm not sure. But when I look at his face it's kind of what I imagine for Voldemort. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm sure that they will pick the best person for the part.

he seems too good looking to play the part...but if he does have the role they would have to put tons of make-up on him to make him look ugly/evil. I can't wait! :sorcerer:

He is a wonderful and very serious actor. He was really good at being an Evil seriel killer in Red Dragon, which was an awsome movie and book I might add. Hope he gets the part.

I'm a little skeptical about him being voldemort, but it might work. I never saw him in his movies, but from some of the pictures i think he might be good. But I'm still not sure...but I do think they should say straight out whether he is going to play him or not.

He is deff the # 1 person they wont to play Voldemort, but i also think he would play the nest Voldemort out there

:sorcerer: I have only seen him in Maid in Manhatten, and he is a good guy there. But by basing it on that, I think his voice is sooo perfect for the role. It's so deep but he has a much higher laugh. I think he would be just perfect for it! :sorcerer:

He's a really great actor, so I'll be happy if they cast him - but I just hope the makeup crew is up to the task. He's handsome, and it's going to take a lot of makeup to get me to shudder when I look at him.
He was terrific in both Schindler's List and Red Dragon, where he played bad guys, so he should do excellent.

I saw the first Lion King movie yesterday and that just made me want him for Voldemort more. But I've never seen Ralph Fiennes in a movie so you never know.

Everyone keeps saying that Ralph fiennes, is too good looking for the part of voldemort. Well I've got two points that say it doesn't matter what he looks like:
1 the young Voldemort was good looking
2He only appears to the audience as anything other than a voice at the end. Where he is described as bone thin, with long arms and fingers and red slits for eyes. It is very likely he will be completely computer animated, so Ralph will only have to lend his voice to the role.
