In a recent interview Robert Pattinson (Cedric) he compares Harry Potter to Twilight, in terms of how to approach the projects, from both an acting and a marketing point of view. Quote:
Rob explained to Movies Online; "It's different. When I was doing "Harry Potter," which I did, there already had been three made. It was already a slick machine by the time I got into it. Whereas with "Twilight," people didn't realize really what it was, the extent of what it was, and it kept growing and growing.
"We kept having to reformulate it as it got bigger. You start off thinking you're making an independent movie, with a small or medium size studio. We definitely weren't making it as a blockbuster. There are no big names in it or anything and then more and more hype starts happening."
In related news, we've been informed by Summit that on March 20th midnight parties will be held to celebrate the release of Twilight on DVD. A store locater can be found here. The parties will kick off at 10pm. | |

Twilight the DVD. It seems like it was just out a few months ago! Okay, I must confess that I haven't seen the movie yet. For some reason, I do not have the urge to see it at this time. I guess I'll just wait until the DVD comes out and wait for someone to invite me to watch the DVD. Oh well.

no they arent copycats.....parties are ways for bookstores to make loads of sales that very evening a book or DVD comes out. For God's sake, there were parties for Brisingr too.....

I am having a nice chuckle at these responses...Yes, this is a HP site but the information was provided (I believe) in connection to Rob Pattinson's quote of the week.
