In a recent interview, actor James Corden acknowledged that Dan Radcliffe had no idea he was about to be kissed on stage in front of a full house at the What's On Stage awards in London, England earlier this year.
Or did he? You decide.

yeah i remember seeing this way back when. its part funny, part scandalous. i remember watching this, feeling so proud for Dan as he walked up to that podium then SMACK! Dementor's kiss at 12 o'clock.
Dan did a pretty good job collecting himself afterwards, although you can see that he was caught off guard. he froze, and unless "stroked" by Mr Dementor, probably wouldnt've "reciprocated" in turn.
funnier was the firestorm of discussions this thing sparked. man it was like the days when those first Equus photos came out. fans were fighting

his press agent said Dan just shrugged it off and took it all in good humor, but its true that he may have been bothered a bit. there is a saying that in an unexpected situation, the first reaction is usually the correct one, and Dan froze. also given his nature (i have a couple of friends with the same birthday as his), joking is their way of masking how they truly feel. Dan is just truly quick on his feet, thats how he managed to save the whole thing.

That was just wrong. -shudders- I mean, if it was a quick peck or even two or three seconds, sureee--I'm all for the laugh...but the bums had their lips locked for several seconds too long and the whole thing with Dan putting his arm across Corden was just too...funky. =3
