In a recent interview with the Press Association Helena Bonham Carter spoke about the work ethic on the set of Harry Potter. Quote:
Helena said: "Acting is so boring half the time because you're waiting for everybody else - I worked on Harry Potter afterwards (after shooting a biopic about Enid Blyton) and it was like going from one end of the spectrum to the other."
She continued: "It's not an entirely selfish process because everyone else has to do their work too, so you have to wait. You just have to wait and so much of acting is momentum. I really love doing Harry Potter, but there's half an hour between each take and there's a cocktail party and then you can't remember what you did in the last one so there's nothing to build on."
