As part of promotion for her upcoming film, The Debt, Academy-Award winning actress Helen Mirren revealed that she had never, in fact, been asked to be in the Harry Potter film series - something she wish she had taken part of during her illustrious career. Daniel Radcliffe mentioned on more than one occasion over the years that he would have loved to work alongside Mirren in the Harry Potter series, though sadly she was never cast.  Quote:
Ask her about one of her biggest career regrets, and it's that she's one of the few acclaimed British actors never to get an invite to Hogwarts.
"I was in some award ceremony and 'Harry Potter' was getting an award and one of the producers very graciously mentioned that — because I was there and I met him — 'Oh, Helen Mirren, the one who got away.' And I said, 'It's because you never asked me, mate!'"

 Helen Mirren is one of our very favorite British actresses. She plays any part she is given with great finesse. She would have been fantastic in Potter along side Maggie Smith. She's also very beautiful.
