I think Joel Osment is correct that Daniel has it tougher, but Daniel has made a better transition than Joel, and I believe that Dan will be considerably more adapt to it than Joel has in his career so far. Also, Dan has made better choices in his career and life paths. Don't you all think?

Haley Joel Osment has been in a number of movies since he was a child, including "The Sixth Sense" and "Pay It Forward". I believe he was in one called "Secondhand Lions" recently? I can't be sure about that title, but if you put him in on IMdB.com, he's got quite a list of stuff he's been in, and in addition, his sister is one of the stars on that "Hannah Montana" show on Disney Channel.

I would think that Haley Joel Osment would have had it tough though... he's been a star since he was a kid, working with Bruce Willis?! But Dan Radcliffe has international fame. Haley Joel Osment does too, but his is possibly on a smaller scale. Despite his big roles, some people might still not know who he is.

Im not sure you can really compare the choices that Dan has done with the choices Haley has made. They are two completely different actors with different styles.
I personally dont think Dan would have made such a good job doing 'The sixth sense' or 'Pay it Forward'. And ''Life Paths''? Not sure we can actually compare that either since we dont know him personally

But I do agree that Dan has got it tougher than Haley just because theres alot of money involved and ofcourse the big fanbase, that is we, of Harry Potter.

And it's really sad that the economy has made an impact on theater, Im sure Haley was an exellent theater actor just as Dan is (ive only heard not actually seen, but im sure he is great )

That's true! Dan is already an established commodity, perhaps even better known in his own way than Haley Joel Osment was because of all the HP films. So even though the economy is not great, that is a plus!

Wasn't Osment the actor that Steven Spielberg wanted to play Harry Potter if he was going to direct it? Before they told him no, only British actors. Pretty funny actually. I think Dan will make the transition just fine, he seems to know what he wants to do and you can tell that he will make the adjustments no matter what. I don't see him having any issues.

It's not often that a kid grows so well adjusted as Dan. And he's got such a huge character on his shoulders...

I loved Haley Joel Osment in the Sixth Sense. I think how well a child star adjusts to Hollywood fame depends on how stable their family and their home lives are.

I think in the long run Dan has it tougher, but essentially when the series is complete he will have completed the transition from child star to adult actor! I think he also has a better foundation to begin.
