| | | Pre-Order your copy of Half-Blood Prince
As a follow-up to this news article by Emma, and since many many bookstores sold out of Order of the Phoenix (book 5) on release day, it is highly advisable for to pre-order your copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Amazon guarantees delivery ON release day, so you have no worries there.
Here are some links: UK Amazon.co.uk £9.99 (Free UK delivery on orders over £19) Play.com £11.99 (including free shipping to most countries in Europe) USA Amazon.com $17.99 (eligible for free shipping)
Barnes and Noble costs the same as Amazon and doesn't offer free shipping or a guarantee that I know of. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Cheers! |

It's confirmed as being a few chapters less than OotP. So that means it's definitely less than 38.

| The day after the release date was announced, I went to the local Barnes' and Noble and signed up for a copy. I'm the first one on the list, so I'll get the book first at my store. Midnight Party, here I come!!!

I didnt pre-order OoTP or any of the HP books, i just walked around the corner the morning it came out, to the supermarket (lol) and there was a massive crate full of the books. But its cheaper to order the book at Amazon by the looks of it, so i might pre order.. It would be quicker to go to the shop on the day though.

| I pre-ordered mine last time out of a book club my mum is part of called the TSP (i think it means The Softback Preview or something). I will probably do it this time also cause I got it on the day that it came out. There is only one slight thing I am worried about, I might be still on holiday the day it is released so I am definatly pre-ordering it so it will be there when I get home.

pre-ordering it or geting it sent to your house spoils the fuin and i dont know how stores ran out the had stacks of them here our borders wasnt even open here and they were selling them out of boxes out of a van outside the shop.
the best part of geting a new hp book is quiing outside WH Smith at 11.15PM waiting for the shop to open at 12 so you can get your copy and read it threw the night

I had to go to three stores before I found it here in Norway.
The first two said they sold out within a couple hours!

I reserved it at Borders, because they have a release party there....
I went to it when the last two books were released. You get it a bit earlier(depending on your mail time) if you go to the party. But that time makes the difference, plus it gives you a chance to dress up and celebrate.

If you live in Europe, maybe play.com is better since they include shipping. If you live in Canada or Mexico then amazon.com is best but they probably won't guarantee same-day delivery.
