| | |  Pottermore sends out all million welcome emails from Magical Quill challenge
The Pottemore Insider blog updated earlier today stating that all million emails registered for the Magical Quill challenge have now been sent out, which could account for the site being down at the current moment. More on that below.  Earlier today, we sent out the one-millionth Welcome email - which means that everyone who successfully registered for the Beta should now have access to Pottermore.
We’re expecting the site to be extremely busy over the next 24 hours as people log in and explore Pottermore for the first time. As such, you may have to wait to sign in but please keep trying if you aren't able to gain entry straight away.
For those who had the chance to register and now received the welcome email, feel free to discuss your experience (or present lack thereof) at Pottermore in the comments below. | |

I've enjoyed Pottermore so far. I got my letter last week and was sorted and everything. I love all the insight Rowling is sharing about the "Potter World". They have some kinks to work out but I look forward to seeing what they will have to offer in the future.

I'm surprised JK hasn't invested more of her money into this site to make it more like Facebook, willing to hold so many people at once. This so far seems ridiculous. The site in my opinion should have been prepped more for the onslaughter of people coming onto it. Imagine what it will be like when it opens to the public 
Otherwise, I'm glad everyone who found the magic quill finally have their emails

I FINALLY got in! The weird thing is, I knew I got in by refreshing the Pottermore website, not by checking my email! I did indeed immediately check my email afterwards to see if it sent and it didn't! I had only an hour before class this morning to get sorted and figure out my wand. I think I might sign back on with a new account name that I made before when I was having trouble registering during the quill challenge. I also had to rush through everything, I want to take it allllllll in.
Oh...
and I got Slytherin! I'm a true Gryffindor at heart though.
