* Potter world premiere set for US - Summary:
The World Premiere of PoA is most likely going to be in NY. Article: Potter world premiere set for US People in the US may get the first chance to see the third film in the series, the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The world premiere of the latest Potter movie is expected to be held in the US on 23 May, probably in New York, with the first UK showing seven days later.
Warner Bros, who make the films, won't confirm the dates yet but insiders say those dates are almost definite.
They also don't want people ringing them to try and get tickets because they won't be available to the public.
If the two premieres were the other way around, with the UK one first, then the US one would be on 30 May which is a very important holiday called Memorial Day.
Lots of people in the US spend that weekend away from home, so it wouldn't be a good day to hold the premiere. CBBC CBBC |

Ah well, that's cool. Thanx emma. My sentiments exactly. But at least none of the fans will see it, it's just the actors and crew.

Wait a sec... shouldn't it be in Britain? I mean, if only the actors and crew can see it, and it is a British Creation, shouldn't it be in Britain?

Hang on. Lol. If only the cast and crew can go and basically all the cast and most of the crew (not sure about them) are British, then why on earth hold it in US?? Totally don't get that lol.

| Whenever it comes out here, I can't wait to see it!! I wish there was a way to buy advance tickets now, though, instead of just a week ahead of time. Way to keep us up to date on everything HP, Marcella_Riddle. BTW, I've read some of Parseltounges and Purebloods, and I love it, I just wish I could've been around when it started.

Well, can't people at least line up along the edges of the walkway and get autographs. If they can't even do that then this U.S. premiere is a total waist. |

I live right by NYC. That's cool altho the premiere is basically there for those "over-the edge" (no offense to any1) fans who would do anything for tickets or for those who know some1 in the buisness who can get them tickets. It isn't for the average HP fan like me...which sucks...but I'll be content and wait 'till June 4th.
