Chris Columbus, the man who directed Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets and also produced Prisoner of Azkaban will now be taking on another Warner Brothers project, 'Slanted And Enchanted'. Currently Chris is working on the film version of the popular Broadway musical 'Rent'.

Based on a screenplay by Ben Queen, whose slim canon of work includes ‘vehicular homicide’ thriller Proximity, the movie’s central character is a pathological liar who thinks he’s managed to tame his fibbing inner demons. When he returns to the family home to visit his mysteriously ailing sister, however, he experiences a lapse and slippery-tongued trouble ensues.
Keeping in mind Columbus’ FX-heavy, child-friendly resumé, this is likely to be big on imaginative visuals and less so on psychological intensity.
