Several members of the Harry Potter cast have been nominated in the
Irish Film and Television awards for projects outside of the franchise.
Brendan Gleeson (Moody) has received a Best Actor nomination for his part in
In Bruges.
David Thewlis' (Lupin), movie
The Boy in Striped Pyjamas, is also up for Best International Film.
Emma Thompson (Trelawney) is up for the Pantene People's Choice award for Best International Actress for her role in
Brideshead Revisited. Voting for this award has already closed.
Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) is nominated in the category of Best International Actor for his turn in
The Duchess.
David Holmes, the composer for Rupert Grint's new film
Cherrybomb, has received one of his nominations in the Best Original Score category for that movie.
The 6th Annual Irish Film & Television Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on RTÉ One, Saturday 14 February 2009, at 9.30pm GMT.
Selected highlights from the Irish Film & Television Awards will screen on BBC Two Northern Ireland at 7pm GMT on Monday 16th February.
The ceremony will be held at
Dublin's Burlington Hotel.
