Summary:
But its not the Potter you are thinking of

Article:

Quote:
Above the school’s library entrance are names of famous children’s book authors.

Snyder’s illusionary granite blocks immortalize E.B.

White, Milne, Grahame, McCloskey and Potter.

Quote:
As Snyder painted “Potter” onto the mural, curious students who routinely tracked the work in progress demonstrated a generation gap between the artist and his audience.

Snyder was honoring Beatrix Potter, author of “Peter Rabbit,” but the Brooklin students read it differently.

“A number of kids thought it must be for Harry Potter,” Snyder said.

Quote:
Snyder insists the Potter in question is Beatrix Potter, but the students won their case, too.

Many of the characters in the mural are reading or are surrounded by children’s books, including one of the Harry Potter books.

Despite their difference of opinion regarding Potter, the students were fascinated with Snyder’s work.

You've never heard of "Peter Rabbit". *dies* Thos ewere my favoruite books as a little kid!

We have a HP/LotR/Shrek/Star Wars huge mural in our local cinema multiplex, all painted by a professional local artist and a team of helpers. I wonder why that's nver been in any of my local papers. Most likely because it's not finished yet but meh lol I think it's being done because that area of Cardiff is being prepared as a place to host future premieres.

 Beatrix Potter is an amazing writer, I loved all the Peter Rabbit books when I was a child! Cool that must have been fun to create!
