| | |  Possible price reduction on Collector's Tales of Beedle the Bard & signed copies
Amazon has launched a new scheme whereby consumers can vote for products they'd like to buy at a discounted price, for the holiday season. Products eligible in this vote include the Collector's edition of the Tales of Beedle the Bard. Should the book win, 1,000 reduced copies will be available, with the first 35 sold being signed by J.K. Rowling.
In order to be in with the chance of buying the edition for $50, take the following steps;
- Go here to vote in six categories.
- On November 27th you will be alerted via email if you've won the opportunity to purchase discounted goods.
- On the date specified in said email, return to Amazon to buy said item.
Should the Tales of Beedle the Bard finish as a runner-up, it will be available for $70 instead. All proceeds going to the Children’s High Level Group will be calculated as if the book is bought at its full price ($100).
The Tales of Beedle the Bard release on December 4th.

That would be sooo cool to have a signed copy! It's losing pretty badly to the mixer right now though! It has gained a few percentage points since I last checked. I wonder if Amazon will hold another contest just for Beedle if it doesn't win first or second place, what would they do with all of these signed copies they have? I hope that I can get one some way! | |

I voted! I would definitely be interested in the collector editiion at half price, $100 was a bit steep for me but I think I could swing $50. A signed edition would be even more awesome, of course! I also like that really cheap, cut rate laptop, I might be interested in that, as well. (I love hunting for cheap computers.) But the book is definitely my chief item of concern! | |
