News has been circulating that JK Rowling has told her family, friends, and publishers that the new book six title will be "Harry Potter and the Fate of the Dementors". I was checking a few websites to confirm this rumor, but none have it listed, so I'm submitting it. :-) Article:

i personally don't think that'll be the title because it doesn't follow the pattern. All of the titles so far have been titles that we have to find stuff about throughout the book. We had to find out what the philosophers stone was, who the prizoner of azkaban was, what was the golblet of fire... i think the next book we'll be named somewhere along those lines. (something that we dont understand at first, but will after reading the book.) | |

wow i didn't know the tirle was goin to be this i always thought it was Harry Potter and the Green Flame Torch but this title sounds interesting. i wonder what is goin to be about we know it would revolve aorund demntors but what else. hope it comes out soon. :sorcerer: | |

Personally I think the Dementors will meet their fate in the final book w/ Voldemort. But what about the title, Harry Potter and Dumbledore’s Army ???? we know that in order to defeat Voldemort, that everyone on the side of good, is going to have to come together to do it. Seeing that Dumbledore is the one who he fears most, it seems only fitting that Dumbledore will lead the battle against him. Maybe??? :whisle: | |

book six is going to be "Harry Potter and the Mudblood Revolt" and book seven is going to be "Harry Potter and the quest of the Centaur". I really don't like the Mudblood title only because it's such a foul word in the wizarding world. I hope it doesn't take JK Rowling 3 years for book six. With a new baby for her to deal with though, we could be waiting a long time. :unsure: | |

Well if JKR does descide to get ride of those things then greats lets hope the next book is more up beat than the last one. Don't get me wrong i think it was gr8, but really she's a good a as killed Harry like all humanity has been sucked out of the books. Lets hope the dementors fate (if that is what it will be) will be a bad fate for them and good for harry | |

I don't think that it is going to be HP and the fate of the dementors. It tells too much. Granted you don't which way the dementors fate ends, but you still definitely know something would happen to them. All of the previous titles aren't this leading. | |

I think all these titles are just rumors that have been floated around - maybe by J.K.R. herself, maybe by the publishers - to throw the fans off track. I think the titles will be something that no one is expecting. | |

Anything is possible - and everyone, the word fate doesn't always have to be the end of something, maybe its fate as in the role they are going to play, this role is their fate - get it?? In the 5th book the Dementors were at a loose end as such, us as readers was not really told what they were going to do, if they all took sides or what, we know a few did because of the incident with Dudley, but maybe this 6th book will emphasise the whole significance of these ghastly creatures. | |
