Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham, ex spice girl, is expecting her third child with David Beckham.
After deliberating over baby names, Victoria decided she liked the name 'Luna' - possibly inspired by the fifth Harry Potter novel, Order of the Phoenix, in which a new character, Luna Lovegood, features. If David and Victoria Beckham ever have a baby girl, she could share her name with a major Potter character. Quote:
"I love the word luna. I know it's a girl's name, so maybe for the next baby," Posh told a Spanish magazine.
Luna Lovegood was one of the new characters introduced by JK Rowling in Order Of The Phoenix. Luna is the Spanish word for moon.

It's been proved that the 'Beckham' brand no longer sells (geniuses, these experts are, I tell you...-rolls eyes-). In reality, everyone's sike of the sight of them. All I can say is, wasn't she meant to be going to Spain? Cant she just move already! That way we'll be safe from the threat of another attempt at a solo career from her. -sigh-

god emma i so agree.. i mean suposably she only got pregnant again to keep her man (What is the deal with him?). but i am sick of hearing about her and him.. but then i dont suport England so maby i have missed the whole beckham thing. and god i hope she dosent release anymore music i dont think my ears could take it....
BTW i think people were paind to find out of the beckham brand sold or not...

Apple Martin?!!!!! What kind of name is that how humiliating! I feel bad for that kid. If I were him I would change my name or have a nickname for someone to call me. Wouldn't it be freaky if your teacher called on you to answer a question and she yells out Apple?! That would be so odd! But people will remember you easily like they would know you as "The Apple Boy" or "Martinelli's Apple Juice Boy". I know someone thats name is "Pinapel Flwurski" her nam sounds like pineapple flower sky. But compared to those names Luna isn't that bad.

I don't think it is that bad of a name, but yea, alot of people are starting to name people and animals after Potter names.. take me for example, I named my yellow parakeet I recently got Snidget! Haha...

It's one thing to name your pet after a HP character like Luna, but not your kid. Whatever happened to names like Robert or William. I think celebrities try too hard to be separate from the cultural norm.

I know! lol! What an odd name. That was precisley what I was thinking of when I said celebrities pick the strangest names for their kids. Don't they realize that a name like Apple will probably leave some deep emotional scaring on their kids? lol.
Also, Luna might not seem like a big deal to us... but, in Spain (where the Beckhams lives... correct me if I'm wrong, I'm American), it's like literally being named Moon.

I think that she is too stupid to read the books(she can't even remember the words for her songs!). I know thats really mean, but she doesn't look like a HP fan. So I doubt its the reason she is thinking of naming her daughter Luna.
And I like Apple, its a nice name. I was reading something and some actress from the Matrix named her son, Radio Science. So I really don't think that Apple is that bad... Quote:

Brooklyn and Romeo aren't weird names. They are actually quite nice, and normal. I know at least 5 Romeo's and 3 Broolyn's, they are quite normal names. And Luna is a nice name.

I'm not at all ashamed by the fact that i am a life long spice girl fan. I went to thier concert in fourth grade! Common anyone who can get someone as hot a beckham can't be that bad can she? (now i have wanabe in my head, thanks)

Celebrities have this bad habit of naming their kids...unusual names. Wait, unusual is good, but when its bad , its bad. I mean, Romeo? Brooklyn? Apple?
I wonder how these kids will handle all the emotional baggage that comes with their names...lol

Yeah, celeb names are getting out of hand, Maybe its to draw more unnecessary attention to themselves by using their kids. I mean, Some celebs are just loveable, but the kid names are weird; one example Johnny Depp and 'Lily Rose Melody Depp' (his daughter)

Honestly, I like the name Luna, in fact, when I have kids, some of the names I'm taking from some of my fave books. I'm kind of surprised you all are shocked. At least it's another Language from what they are, didn't you know what Frank Zappa, mayherestinpeace, called his daughter? Moonbeam. I swear I'm telling the truth. Then, as you all know, there's Apple, and I'm sure there's others out there. Look at Micheal Jackson (I fink i spelled his name right =/) His two boys are Prince Micheal I and Prince Micheal II, seriously, show some thought here.
At least these parents know that none of their kids will share their names with others in the school.

People today are naming their kids the most unique (for want of a better word) names.....eg .Apple, Brooklyn,
i guess it's their kids and they can name them whatever they want...it's too bad the kids don't have a say in it.....(they'd prolly be traumatised....lol)
