| | | PoA Valentine's Day Cards
Valentine's Day cards featuring characters from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are now avaliable.
Cheeser from HPANA reports that there are 32 in a pack and are priced at just $1.80.
Pictures of all the cards and the front and back covers of the packaging can be seen here with some of the best images attached below.
Enjoy!

As pretty as they are, they're nothing new and well, look like commercialism at its worst. I could understand maybe doing for this for CoS, given Lockhart's enthusiasm for Valentine's Day but other than that, it seems rather cheesey and just a ploy to make more money.

But they don't look like normal Valentine's Day cards. It's just bits of the film with messages stuck on them. I might like to have one, purely because I like HP but I think the whole thing is a tad tacky.

| What surprises me most is that POA was not really a movie about love and yet still you are getting Valentines day cards with images from it. Action igures and maybe even birthday cards are alright for the POA franchise but Valentines day cards! Thats just going to far. I feel sorry for Dan, Emma and Rupert whose images have to be that of love on the cards. I would hate for my face to be on a valentines day card. I hate Valentines day!

It's a good thing that they're not supporting any ships...imagine the uproar if they paired up Hermione with Ron or with Harry, or even brought Ginny into it, somehow. The friendship theme is ok, since elementary school kids are passing these out.
Sadly, the graphics weren't well-done at all. They used the simplest tricks in the bag, that's what makes them look cheesy. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Attachment #4.
Just for kicks, I might go to Hallmark and get them...I could hand them out to my friends to confirm my fandomness, and that would be tres amusing.

I like the fact that these valentine day cards aren't the typical "Loveydovey" ones. They stick more to the HP theme than anything.

I like them.I mean,it's nice that they have cards for freaks like me to hand out to my friends.I have Harry Potter everything.I will be buying these and giving them to my friends.Try not to be so critical about them.Just because they use some cheap features,I'm sorry, but they can't make them like Wizard Tradeing cards where they move and such. They're Valentines Day cards! There are for kids to hand out during school room parties. This is great! Valentines for Harry Potter fans...why not! They have winnie the pooh,batman,startrek....jeez people! It's harry potter be happy! I don't mean to sound rude,it's just that..now we have something special to give to our friends and loved ones.Don't expect them to spend a bilion dollars on a valentine that will be thrown away after the kids eat all the candy they get.

Erm .. question. Who would want to send 32 Valentine's cards? Lol. Unless they were just for friends, which kind of defeats the romance of it.
I agree that they seem too tacky and cheesy for me... unless they are aimed at younger children.

well, they are aimed at younger children lol most have aroun 32 in their class...you give one to everyone...and i think there's supposed to be 2 bigger ones (*whistle* there was in the CoS...*wistle*) that you could give to a special friend or a signifigant other lol
Meh, even though they are cheesy (aren't all valentines day cards?) It's merchendise advertising the HP world and i see nothing wrong with that...some kid might get one and say "Hey, this looks cool! i think i'll read the books and become a fanatic" lol or something like that...
Although i must say who comes up with the stuff you put on them? The words/saying whatever always have and always will be cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesy! (i mean really, I hope your valentines day is full of adventure? adventure?!)
hehe i'll shut up now |

They're alright. The "We have a Magical Friendship" is rather cheesy. But if you were still in like Elementry school and you had to give out valentines, which one would you rather choose, Harry Potter or Loony Tunes?
