The Medina County District Library Children’s Department has been presented with a very special gift - an official movie poster autographed by Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and many others.

“The daughter of one of our children’s department employees studied abroad in England last year while the movie was being filmed”, said Children’s Department Manager, Marilyn Sobotincic. “She happened to meet a production assistant on the movie and they started dating. When she mentioned her mother worked in a library the young man got the cast to sign the poster and surprised us with it.”

The framed poster is on display in the Children’s department and according to Sobotincic, it will be a draw for years to come. “The Harry Potter books and movies are still so popular, I don’t see them going out of style any time soon. In fact, more books and movies have yet to be released. We are very lucky to have this one-of-a-kind addition to our Children’s room.”
