PoA passes Chamber of Secrets at the box office

Article:

PoA passes Chamber of Secrets at the box office

Quote:
Although Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban has been earning less than its two predecessors at the box office, it passed Chamber of Secrets on its 27th day. PoA has brought in $215.9 million (£118.6m) domestically, while CoS had only made $215.7 million (£118.5m) after its 27th day. Over the past few days, 'Azkaban' has been outdoing 'Chamber' by more than a 2 to 1 ratio.

Prisoner of Azkaban is still $27 million (£14.8m) behind the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Thanks to Veritaserum for the tip!

Not surprised! CoS was boring... most people I know hated it the first time, and wouldn't go see it again...while almost all of them have seen PoA twice. :sorcerer:

I don't know about you, but I liked CoS a little better because Ron actually had normal lines in it, and not just some dumbed up lines like in PoA. But I still think that the movies just keep getting better and better! :sorcerer:

Three or four of Ron's lines were given to Hermione in CoS, all of which were about living in the magical world, something which she doesn't do.

to be pretty honest, i'm not surprised. PoA was really good. and so was CoS but PoA would've been more popular.

Yaahh!! I'm not surprised though. For some reason PoA was better..for me it seemed to flow more easily than CoS. I saw PoA 3 times in the theatre..if I had the money I would see it more times!
