' Prisoner of Azkaban' was nominated for two Oscars at this years Academy Awards but Harry Potter went home empty handed. Spiderman 2 won the Oscar for 'Best Visual Effects'. Finding Neverland won the Oscar for 'Best Score'.

I can't believe they lost!!!
I actually thought they had a really good chance of winning, I mean take a look at buckbeak...it was so impressive!!!
I guess they will have to try harder maybe GOF will get them an oscar award!!!
I'm really sad they loss...thought they would actually win atleast one of the awards they were nominated for...I guess I was wrong...

Very disappointed, I thought Spiderman 2 could get the SFX as they're fantastic, but Best Score, Finding Neverland?!?! *Mumbles to self in rage before shaking head at Hollywood*

I was really p.ed o. I was so angery. How can a guy in tights (both movies) be better than the magic of HP? It really doesn't make sense. If they don't make it next year, I'm going to form start selling merchandise like t-shirts that say, "Harry Potter, the true oscar winner"

Well, lets not be sore losers. We were up against big hits, so we could only expect someting like this. I'm just glad we lost to good movies, though I do hate spiderman....

^Same Snivellus. *nods* I wasnt' too sure about visual effects, but I had thought for sure we would win for score... John Williams is such a genius, he really diserved to win!
I felt my heart drop, when they said Finding Neverland won... ah well, there is always next year

I've never seen Finding Neverland, so I can't intelligently comment on the score, but I have seen Spiderman 2 and the effects WERE amazing- as were HP's. I wouldn't have wanted to choose between them, really. I'm still annoyed at the lack of acting nominations for any of the LotR films, mind you.

awww.... that was sooo sad.... i had my fingers crossed the whole time and when they said that spiderman 2 won i was like "WHAT?".... but i still had hope in for the best score category (since john williams is a pretty big winner), but they lost that too. i almost cried.... hey, but at least they got nominated, which is a big deal! better luck with GOF!!

Also, this was Hp's 3rd movie and it was still nominated usually many sequels fade out after the 2nd movie!
