| | | PoA in top ten films of 2004 Newsweek Magazine has named Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as one of the top ten films of 2004. Quote:
9. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Third time's the charm. Alfonso Cuaron finds real magic in his wizardly installment.
Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron for the tip! |

Very impressive. I took a look at the list and I haven't seen any of those films. They're all small budget so considering HP3 is the only blockbuster is in there, that's quite an accomplishment. Well done, HP!

Top 10!!!wow!!Thats impressive!!Glad to hear it! Alfonso has always been a favorite of mine.Since I was little and A Little Princess came out I have watched it every Christmas. I never cared about who directed when I was little. But then I found out that he directed it and he was to direct the 3rd one..and it was like WOW!!! Well..good job!

Well most those films are above PoA standard so I don't begrudge them being there. Alot of them are dramas and real life films which although being nitty gritty are full of dramatic realism and superb acting. Considering WB markets HP as a kids thing, it's lucky to be there at all!

Exactly. HP is lucky to be in that list! All those other films are dramas. And critics always like those more than commerical films like HP.

I don't really agree with that critic....I thought Van Helsing was good, and difinatley not the worst movie of the year. POA should have been in a higher position personally.
