That's good news.
At least it's not PG-13, so it means that its not too violent for very young kids...
Thankies for the info, Emma! :sorcerer:

PG...which basically means everyone can see it. Honestly, G and PG may as well be the same. Parents generally have little regard for that "P."

I'm kinda disappointed, lol, I wanted it to be as violent/gruesome as it should be. I think most kids are above 12/13 now anyways so it wouldn't have mattered much.

So are y'all saying that if it's 12a in UK, it means that children below 12 must have parents accompanying them, or are they not allowed to watch?
Sorry, I don't live there...

You have to be 12 to be unaccompanied by a parent yes.

I should expain their ages, I suppose. One is seven, two are five, and one will be three soon. I read the books (only 1-4, actually. I think they're way too young for 5.) to them, but I don't think the three youngest really understand everything that's going on.

cool, this means more people will go & c it, but like people have said that parents dont really pay attention to the P in PG. and parents will take their children even if it ends up bein a 12A in the UK....not that i really care being 17 |

Oh yeah I have a little brother who likes it too, but it wont bother him to not see it yet. He's not really into it proprly, he hasn't read the books or anything.
But yeah, most of the Hp fans and, well, the original ones who've read the books, most of whom are probably above 12/13 now and if not, could probably pass for that age anyways.
Cinemas wont be strict on enforcing it as it's HP and many people just see it as a kids thing anyways.

I think GoF or OotP should be PG-13, but it kinda takes alot to get to have that rating. Some movies have harsh language, violence (alot ), etc but still make it into being a PG-13 movie. Some even have the harsh language but at PG! So I doubt the rest of the movies will reach the PG-13 level. I screamed in happiness when I saw that Van Helsing was PG-13 because I wanted to see it SO badly, but if it was R i couldn't because my parents wouldn't go with me...

I'm already 13 (had my b-day yesterday ), but rating was never much of an issue to me. I never knew rating existed unil I was about 11, anyway. Besides, I don't believe any parents would forbid their child to see it, even if they're 12

i dont think a PG rating is bad cause the other two movies are the same ratings.

Eh, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I was kind of hoping for PG-13 though.

I think PG is fine because it might be somewhat 'scary' but from what i read in the books not PG-13 scary I think GoF might be PG-13 though because of the whole voldemort scene at the end, the books are only going to get darker... but i think PG is fine for PoA!

This is great thank goodness it is not PG 13 I mean it will surely disappoint many young childrens who are eager to see it( even tough I'm 15) But, I dont really think the movie have alot of voilent in it anyway, and even it does have blood it's only a little no harm. :sorcerer:

^yeah that's true, though with the werewolf transformations and the Dementors, i thought it would have a pg-13 rating...i just hope it won't be too much of a kid's movie like CoS.
