PoA Cast List and Production Notes - Names for Parvati, Lavender and Pansy

Summary:
In the cast list, we see new names and the names of people such as Parvati and Lavender.

Article:

PoA Cast List and Production Notes

WB have officially released the cast list for PoA (which is huge!) and production notes from the film.

There are many spoilers in both files. Searching through them, I have found some interesting information.

Pansy Parkinson is played by GENEVIEVE GAUNT.

Lavender Brown is played by JENNIFER SMITH.

Parvati Patil is played by SITARA SHAH.

TESS BU CUARÓN is cast a baby in a photograph and is more than likely, one of the director's relatives.

VIOLET COLUMBUS is cast as a 'girl with flowers' and is more than likely, one of Columbus' children.

LENNY HENRY - A great british comedian, lends his voice for the shruken head, which I presume is in the Knight Bus.

In the production notes, there are some funny comments from Rupert:

Quote:
Cuarón is still awaiting Rupert Grint’s essay.* “But hey, that’s my character!” Rupert protests.* “Dan and Emma helped me give Alfonso all the usual excuses, like the dog ate my homework, that kind of thing.* But Ron has never liked schoolwork, and he’d have found every excuse possible to get out of doing the essay, so I was just being in character!”
Both these files are well worth a good read, but be warned there are spoilers.

Enjoy!

That took forever to read!! But it was really interesting. I never knew all that stuff about the actors. Like Ti othy Spall being in Vanilla Sky. I never noticed him!!

I know what I'm waiting for, Cinefex have done some good Potter features.

It's a magazine that comprehensively covers the special effects of a number of films. HP has been on the front cover both times.

That's great to know.. they've cast Parvati and Lavender? I didn't think they would make it until the fourth movie for some reason

I already saw that list, it made me happy-fied. LOL

As for Lavender and Parvati, they do have a MINOR-sih role in PoA. Don't you remember Trelawney making the prediction about Lavender and then her getting news of her rabbit? And they kind of are anti-'Mione. So, yeah, they have a rather SMALL-ish part that I'm surprised they included.

Other notable additions to the ensemble cast include Julie Christie as Madam Rosmerta, the kind and caring landlady of the Three Broomsticks pub; Pam Ferris as Harry’s overbearing Aunt Marge; actress-comedienne Dawn French as the vibrant Fat Lady in the portrait at Gryffindor Tower
The choice of Pam Ferris is funny because whenever I read about Aunt Marge that is who I pictured. But the greatest thing is DAWN FRENCH as the Fat Lady! She is the funniest person, and I think that is the greatest casting coup ever!

Plus Lenny Henry, her husband in real life, too!!

I think they will wish they kept Pam Ferris for Umbridge.

The girl with the flowers, is one of the director or producers daugters. It's just a portrait. In the Hogwarts hallways.
