13,500 pirated books were seized in India, including novels from the Harry Potter series, resulting in the arrest of six people. The books were uncovered in locations across Delhi. The raids and arrests came off the back of complaints from Publishers Association, UK concerning a pirating network.

I'm glad they caught them. St00pid theives. It's a horrible thing to do, but a great thing that they won't get away with it. At least those ones won't.
Hello! Big wake up call. I live in India. All the books which have been seized so far constitute a mere percentage of what makes up the entire stock out there on the market. And what about those who have already bought them? Here, our currency is very weak compared to US and UK currency. The book which should be cheap out there costs us almost 800 bucks here - hence only the upper middle class and so can afford it. Hence the piracy. And I can tell you this - piracy not only exists in HP books here... there are so many other things too.
PS - BTW, this doesn't mean I encourage piracy either. I hate it.
