As we reported earlier today, an estimated 7000 girls have attended the open casting call for the role of Lavender Brown. Well, we now have pictures of the event, you can see the 22 photographs in our gallery.
The pictures can only make us wonder... Which of these girls will be Lavender Brown?

All these girls look so different, so look too young. But this brings up the question what do the fans think Lavender looks like. I can't remember JKR ever discribing her. So any inputs to potential Lav-Lav???

I was thinking that! Yeah, it's funny to think that out of 7000, one is standing in line.
I don't know if JKR ever described her physical appearance. I always imagined her with long, straight brown hair. But...we'll have to see...
I'm just a little surprised that during these casting calls, no one seems to dress up. I know it's a long line and wait and everything, but it's a big deal. It's an audition, and it makes a good impression to come looking nice and professional. You can be natural and real to the people in charge through your personality. Well, that's what I've learned through my acting/auditioning experiences, but...
I so wish I could claim being British right now! I love to act, I LOVE Harry Potter, and I am in love with Rupert Grint! The job would be perfect for me!  Jk.

The top 5 get such an opportunity.  I would want them to give me pictures if I didn't make it. LOL. It would be cool if one of the girls in these pictures end up being chosen. I read that a lot of the girls chosen had "model" looks. I hope they turn out great because Lavender should be extremely pretty, in my opinion.

Hmm...looked through them. One really jumped out at me as who'd I'd choose based on looks. She's in the second picture, around the middle. She's the black girl. Looks exactly as I've always pictured Lavender.

I completely agree with you, Shannon! Unless they're going for the girl-next-door look... or walked-off-the-street look. But maybe they're not all dedicated HP fans with top-notch, home-made Hogwarts robes

They all look a bit too young... I mean, Lavender is in the trio's year, correct? So obviously they'll have to be like, at least 13/14... (make-up artists do wonders from what I hear!)
I always pictured her with olive skin and dark wavy hair... dunno why, just did.
Man, all those girls must REALLY want their free snog with Rupert
If only I was British and not Canadian... actually I take that back, if only my great grandma remained in Scotland and my mom moved to England... then I'd get a slight chance in getting to snog Rupert! *sighs dreamily* That would be the day...
EDIT: And that would probably be my first kiss anyways! (I'm at the right age for the auditions too). That'd be awesome, some memorable first kiss...
That'd make a good story to tell your kids - "Back in my day I auditioned for the Harry Potter movies and I got to snog Ronnie-kins for my first kiss."
