| | |  Philosopher's Stone proof copy & film props to be auctioned off
An uncorrected proof copy of the first Harry Potter novel, the Philosopher's Stone, signed by J.K. Rowling is to be auctioned off along with film props from the Harry Potter francise. A book signed by Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) will also be up for grabs.
Jonathan Ross will be hosting the auction, called The Great British Movie Event, set to take place on the 17th of June, at the Old Billingsgate in the City of London, England, with proceeds going to the National Film and Television School.
The event will celebrate four key franchises in the British film industry; Harry Potter, James Bond, Richard Curtis' work for Working Title and Aardman animation. Stephen Fry, the voice of the British audiobooks, will be present on the day. Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) will also be in attendance. David Yates, the director of films 5 - 7 in the Harry Potter series, is also expected to make an appearance.

This would be totally awesome to obtain....just to see all the changes, edits, removals, etc. from the book. Esp. since we know from interviews that Jo has reams and reams of material that her editors took out of the books. Side stories and lots of extra character descriptions, and even extra characters were removed due to space and not being part of the main story. Jo's website gives loads of background on this.
