| | |  Phelps twins and Katie Leung to attend Turkish OotP premiere - UPDATED!
A newspaper based in Turkey, Milliyet, is reporting that several Harry Potter actors, including Katie Leung and James and Oliver Phelps, are scheduled to attend the Turkish Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie premiere. It will take place at the Kanyon Cinebonus cinema in Istanbul on August 07, 2007. However, despite the rumors, Warner Brothers has yet to confirm or deny which actors, if any, will appear. Order of the Phoenix is scheduled to release in Turkey on August 10th.
Thanks to TheSnitch! UPDATE: It has now been confirmed by Warner Brothers that the twins and Katie will be attending the event.

ZOMG!  I've never heard that! Katie Leung and James and Oliver Phelps are coming to Istanbul?? How come? Yes, I haven't seen the movie yet. I was astonished when I first heard that it was going to be released on August 10. But if it's true...I mean, if they scheduled it for such a premiere... it makes sense. oh how i hope that it's not just a rumor! i read the news on another Turkish newspaper, Hurriyet, and they had the same info.. oh GOD, please let it be true!!! I will definately be there, and if I do take some photos, be sure that i'll post them here on SS!!!!
also, i know that it's been a long wait, and still will be a long wait til the movie's released here, but who cares if it's coming along with a premiere! yay.

That would great for the fans to see some of the actors.It seems this year that the Phelps twins are doing more premiers and interviews. About two weeks ago they were in Chicago at a local theater for a meet and greet with fans before the Midnight showing of Phoenix. I may be wrong, but it seems that they are putting themselves more in the spotlight than past years. | |
