| | |  Percy Weasley unlikely to feature in Half-Blood Prince
Chris Rankin, the actor known for playing Percy Weasley, recently did an interview with TV3. In it he said it's unlikely that he will return for Half-Blood Prince but is hopeful that his character will be in Deathly Hallows.
He is in New Zealand for the Armageddon pop culture expo this weekend.

Figures. *sigh* Too bad it won't really mean anything to a movie audience whether he comes back for DH or not because they never mentioned in OotP that Percy had disowned the family. Unless they mention it in HBP, will it even matter that Percy comes back in DH? (to the movie audience?)

So true. It's sad (but I suppose inevitable) that so many things are left out of the films that were in the book. If only there were a way to include more detail, sometimes it really is important for those who only watch the films and don't read (yes, I actually know one such person, not very literate at all but he loves the movies!) I hope Percy is in DH, he is an important part of the plot. But they still should have mentioned the fact that he had disowned his family. | |

If they at least MENTION that Percy disowned the family, I couldn't care less if he's there or not; it just needs to be known he's disowned them, whether he's there in person to hint it or not.
As long as he's there for DH of course, he's kinda important then.
