Patrick Doyle to compose GoF score - Jarvis Cocker to assist
Dark Horizons is now reporting that Patrick Doyle is still lined up to compose the main score for GoF (presumably because Williams is too tied up with Star Wars) and Jarvis Cocker from Pulp will have a small role in contributing music to the film as will Franz Ferdinand.
Doyle's credits include:
Quote:
Sense and Sensibility; Gosford Park; Secondhand Lions; Hamlet; Henry V; Mary Shelley's Frankenstein; Shipwrecked; Much Ado About Nothing; Love's Labour's Lost; A Little Princess; Dead Again; Calendar Girls
Hogwarts RPG Name: Margaret Jacqueline Atkinson Morris
Fifth Year
Potter’s Princess A+ FangGirl
I don't know who he is... but I hope that he does a good job!

they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It wasreal. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back.
To tide up with starwars?! Harry Potter is more important than that! :'(
Despite the fact that the recent Star Wars movies were absolute rubbish, I believe he has more of an attachment to it since he did the score for the originals. And stuff.
I can't wait to hear the score. I've heard his work before, and it's really superb.
I'd prefer John Williams as well, but he has had a silent contract with Lucas since the 70's so we shouldn't get mad at him for chosing that instead of HP. I have heard Patrick Doyle's music for 'Much Ado About Nothing' and I liked it quite a bit! Hope he keeps the "magic" in the music!
i wonder if the songs franz ferdinand will be on the soundtrack with the score, or will there be separate soundtrack? it will probably be on the same one, cause they may only write one or two songs, and that isnt enough to fill an entire cd. he better do a good job!!!!!!! star wars more important than harry potter? john willams you should be ashamed of yourself!
