| | | Patrick Doyle talks 'Goblet of Fire' Patrick Doyle, the composer for the soundtrack to ' Goblet of Fire' has spoken about the fourth film to The Evening Times. He talks about his predecessor John Williams, what it's to work with Mike Newell and discusses the feel of the Potter movie. Quote:
"John is an incredibly busy composer, and as a composer there can sometimes be terrible clashes in your schedules, and you can't do everything," said Patrick.
Quote:
He has worked with Goblet of Fire director Mike Newell twice before. "He's just great, we get on terribly well, and I was thrilled to be asked. It certainly went down a storm in my house," he said.
Quote:
"I read the script before they started shooting. My involvement has gone on for a year, and I've written zillions of themes for it.
"People who have read the book will know that it is very dense in terms of its storyline, and all of the imagery is very big."
Other departments involved in the film had put in immense efforts. He said. "When it comes to your turn, you feel this huge Goliath-type presence.
"Nothing has been a breeze. Everything demands the most of you. You have to be at the top of your game.
"It's an enormous presence, the biggest thing I have ever been involved in, and you feel the enormity of it all."

I'm sad that John Williams isn't going to be composing the music for GOF, but this guy seems pretty excited about it.

if the music sounds like it does for that video just resently released it whould be awesome! I have to admit I'm a HUGE John Williams fan, but have to say it sounds really cool. I just hope a lot of the main themes from the last three films is still incorporated!

The music BETTER be amazing, being a musician, that is the first thing I notice about a movie. lol, dorky, I know but that's me. Most of my comments during the movie aren't about the movie..."Wow, do you hear those french horns?!" So I am definitely looking forward to what kind of music this guy will write with John Williams gone, pity that he is! AWESOME composer!

HP soundtracks are always good but I hope the GoF soundtrack to be even better than the others, but it's bad that john willians won't do the soundtrack, he is a great composer.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Ottery St. Catchpole Third Year | If WB cares I'm still interested in Directing HBP...I mean I just thought you should Paris & Kellybear r luv :Read Otty 's fics:Gone With the Wind:I♥Rupert I'm withholding all opinions and commentary and cannonfire (wether at him or for him) until I hear the love theme... *still thinking of that stupid atrocity John Williams penned for Clone Wars* Well he did write Hedwig's theme so... But still...I want a love theme and it better be good...I've got the other three soundtracks I hope this one doesn't disappoint. Now I think on it...Clone Wars was a stupid atrocity masquerading as a movie...

Its nice to see that we could be recieving a great set of music on this one and that he acceps how different this one is going to be from the others! Quote:

Thats so nice of him to say that! I like him already!! If he can have that sort of love for the movie show than its a good start!

| I'm sure the music of the new movie will be great!... But I still love the other soundtracks very much and will be a bit disappointed if ithe new one doesn't feature any of the other melodies at any time...
