CBBC Newsround has announced yet another set of Goblet of Fire castings. Article: Patil twins and Gabrielle Delacour have been cast!
Parvati & Padma Patil, along with Gabrielle Delacour, have been cast for the production, Goblet of Fire. They are, as follows: Shefali Chowdhury will play Parvati Patil
Afshan Azad will play her sister, Padma
Angelica Mandy will play Fleur Delacour's younger sister, Gabrielle
Thw first two actresses are newcomers and therefore there are no pictures of them in previous films. However Angelica Mandy has featured in the recent film 'Vanity Fair' - if anyone can find any pictures of her please send them in! Quote: CBBC Newsround can exclusively reveal that Parvati Patil will be played by Shefali Chowdhury. Parvati, of course, is Harry's date for the Yule Ball.
The part of Padma Patil will be played by Afshan Azad. She gets to go to the Yule Ball with Ron.
The younger sister of Fleur Delacour, Gabrielle, has also been cast and will be played by Angelica Mandy.
Angelica also appears in the movie of Vanity Fair.
Open auditions were held for the Patil twins in London nine months ago.
Filming is expected to go on until next Spring and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be in cinemas in November 2005.

I wonder if they will play twins in the movie or just sisters. Their obviously not related, so I don't know how they could say their twins when they look nothing alike. I guess they had a hard time finding a good set of twins.
My sister might have been able to play a good Gabrielle, look wise, but she can't act and were not British.

And yeah it would've been very hard to get twin asian girls who have residency in the UK, British accents and both of whom can act.
They probably look very alike though otherwise they would not have been cast.

I found some pictures of a little girl who seems to fit the description (when I did a google search) but I'm not sure if it's her or not.
It'd be great to get some pictures of her from 'Vanity Fair'.

I am a bit disappointed that Sitara Sahah (the person who played Pavarti/Padma in P.O.A) is not playing those two characters in G.O.F.
Oh well, theres nothing I can do about it!

I think its all abit wierd that GOF is being filmed and they are still casting. But it's cool, at least they found people for the part. I look forward to pictures.

I wish that some pictures came with it. It leaves us kind of confused. I wonder if they will be hidden away like the boy that plays Viktor Krum. Maybe they just want to leave it for guessing or they want to surprise us. But i think that they should realease some pictures, you know, so that they can get some opinion on their choice. But if they plan to be secretive then we'll just have to wait and see what happens. | |

It's a shame that she couldn't play her, she looks like how I imagined Paravti. Hmm, I wish we could see some pictures. But then again even if we don't like how they look doesn't mean they can't act like them, look at Lupin and his 'mustache'.
