| | | Parents love to read Potter
Harry Potter topped a poll as the book/s that parents love to read thanks to their kids who recommendedthe novels to them. Quote: |
The survey, which questioned 2,600 parents, found that UK children are real book worms, spending an average of six hours a week reading for enjoyment - that's equal to 13 days a year.
| Quote:
Caroline Ridding, who chooses what books to buy for the supermarket Tescos said: "Far from being obsessed with TV and computer games our study shows their (children's) love of reading is greater than ever.
"Increasingly they're becoming literary critics for mum and dad."

| | | I wish my parents read it, and enjoyed it as well. They just think I'm weird for liking the books/movies so much. Haters... If only they took the time to read it, then they'd know I wasn't weird and they'd see how awesome the books are and what they'd been missing out on. | |

| It's really funny, actually. When I was standing in line for my copy of OotP at Borders Bookstore, there were nothing but older teens and adults. They were giving out little bookmark things to say you were going to get a copy, and I had gotten a Slytherin one. This guy of about 17 came up to me and my buddy and he said," Wanna trade your bookmark for a Gryffindor one? My mum likes Slytherin better." We looked over behind him and a sweet little old lady grinned and waved. Classic.. ^^ |

| in my family, it is all the adults who are into HP. We can't seem to get the kids too interested, however my 13 year old sister got interest in reading after falling in love with the 3rd movie (she hated the first two). |

First | My parent's hate the books, magic, wizards.. anything of the sort.. kinda like the Dursleys... A LOT... I've told them that they're really good.. but yeah.. that just goes through one ear and out the other with them. |
