Online retailer Amazon has received more than 100,000 pre-orders for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - months before it goes on sale. Quote:
Robin Terrell, managing director of Amazon.co.uk, said: "Our customers are clearly incredibly excited about the sixth Harry Potter book and we're thrilled more than 100,000 of them have recognised that."
Previously it was reported that 50,000 copies of the HBP had been pre-orderd through the German version of Amazon.

My nanna has Pre-Ordered mine from WhSmith.Cant belive how many orders Amazon have recieved. In the Ottakers in my town they are selling it for the r.r.p but u get a free gift with it. | |

I need to preorder....I did for the 5th book and it came the day it was out. And even though it would be great to wait out side the bookstore...but I am going to wait to do that maybe when the last book comes out...heehee. | |

I per-orderes mine, im too young to wait outside a book store all night and im not taking my parents w/ me. Ill be 15 or 16 when the th book comes out, so i will probably do it then. | |

quite a lot! yesterday my friends & i were having a rare hp-discussion in school (they-re not really as obsessed as i am) and i told them i pre-ordered it and they were like "already? why so early?" i kind of wonder if they even know how cheap the pre-order is... ? lol. | |

Yeah! That's definately my way to doing things. I did that for the last two books, I'm definately doing it this year, rain or shine. I did reserve it at Borders though....because the lines that night are horribly long. I start out waiting like 9ish and there still is a huge line...
