| | |  'Order of the Phoenix' cast update
We already knew that Dan, Rupert, Emma, Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) and Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) would be returning for ' Order of the Phoenix'. Now more names have been added to the 'confirmed' list. Quote: Confirmed:
James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley)
Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe)
Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas)
Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley)
Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)
Other actors are still in negotiations for returns to the franchise. This list includes: Quote: Negotiating: Tiana Benjamin (Angelina Johnson) - this scan from Now (thanks Kaz) claims Tiana will play a new character in EastEnders from May this year. Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan)... "things going well" Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick)... "not sure yet" David Bradley (Argus Filch)... "hopeful" Afshan Azad (Padma Patil)... "can't say yet"
As always with the Harry Potter films, cuts are necessary to translate the story from book to screen. As such, Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter) will not be returning to the series for film 5.
The above isn't a full cast list; more names will be confirmed in the weeks to come. ' Order of the Phoenix' starts filming next month.

I'm so glad Tom and Bonnie and the twins are doing it! But I think we forget, that just because the characters aren't coming back, doesn't mean that they won'rr play a role in the movie. they could easily just do the little beetle thingie with Rita, and have all the articles published without actually showing Miranda. And I about had a heart attach when I heard Ropert was 'officially' confirmed. *SQUEE!!!!*x 1,00000000!

It's a bit sad to see that Miranda won't be appearing in OOTP, she was awesome as Rita. Considering her character was fairly sidelined in the film version of GOF, I had a sneaky suspicion her character wouldn't make it into the script. But I'm glad to see that Tom, Bonnie, and the twins are staying on as well as the main three actors. (I hope that the scene where the twins set off the fireworks in the castle makes it into the script, now that was funny.)
But casting for Angelina Johnson has been inconsistent for two movies (if one pays attention, that is). In the books, she was black, and then SS has her character changed to Caucasian. But then they rectify that mistake in GOF by casting the character with the right ethnicity. I'm not being biased or anything, but that kinda disrupts continuity within the movies (but one can argue a similar thing with recasting Dumbledore with Michael Gambon). It's the minor character casting choices that gets me in a bind.
But Tiana Benjamin was perfect as Angelina. She seems a bit softer and reserved than her book counterpart, but hopefully she'll stay on for OOTP.

How come Rita Skeeta won't be in it? Are they just going to cut the whole "interview for the Quibbler" thing and Umbridge banning it and all that? Coz that's how Harry gets all his friends back...

harry potter and the goblet of fire was a good movie but they cut to much out. so far harry potter and the oop looks and sounds like everything is going ok but i just hope they do a better story plot to keep to the original books story line

No Rita...oh man. Well,at least we get Lucius (Jason),Draco (Tom) and Voldemort (Ralph) ! O yeah...the trio too...As long as Rupert is Ronald B. Weasley,all is right with the world! Seamus (Devon) who cares,Dean (Alfred) whatever....but people like Filch,Crabbe,The Weasley Twins,Angelina (she is Quidditch Captain) and Bonnie AS Ginny are important...I feel they bring detail to the story onscreen.
