| | |  Order of the Phoenix & Half-Blood Prince to be converted to 3D Blu-rays
Warner Bros Home Entertainment has announced that along with Prime Focus, it will convert Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to 3D for Blu-ray. Quote:
Including Warner's plans to put both parts of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" in 3D, all four "Potter" pics directed by David Yates have been in line for 3D conversion.

Studio is keeping mum about its 3D plans for the "Potter" backtitles, including street dates for 3D homevideo and whether there will be a theatrical re-release for the series. With the final four "Potter" pics in 3D, however, conversion of the earlier pics seems likely. Just as Yates has had creative oversight of 3D on his pics, conversion of the earlier titles would likely require the involvement of Chris Columbus, Mike Newell and Alfonso Cuaron, who directed the first four in the series.
We are currently inquiring with Warner Bros on specific information about the Blu-ray releases, including street dates, and will update when we learn more.  | |

i am not a fan of 3D at all, but ...i must say....Blu ray is amazing....Once you view DVDs on Blu ray, everything else looks fuzzy!

I don't have blu-ray yet and I really need to experience it. -sigh- I remember when PS/SS first came out on DVD and VHS and when I had to get a DVD player. How the times have changed.

I don't get the whole deal with 3D...personally, if the film was not filmed for 3D then I'd rather they didn't bother. Did anyone else think Clash of the Titans was a horrible use of 3D? 3D for the sake of 3D is a little ridiculous...
