While searching the Krasnogvardeisky District in Russia, police
found a massive amount of the
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVDs, which, oddly enough, hadn't been released yet. That's because, like many other DVDs there, they were pirated.
More than 50 thousand disks and video cassettes were confiscated during the examination, along with the copying equipment and other workshop possessions.
The General Department of Internal Affairs had the following to say:
Quote:
"Most of the confiscated goods turned out to be a fake with low quality of polygraph package. Most DVDs contained more than 4 movies, belonging to various copyright holders. Some films have not been released yet, so the records are likely to be screen copies."
More on the investigation should be released soon enough, and hopefully all of this will be taken care of.
