Post No Kid's Choice awards for Potter

Harry Potter had two nominations on tonight's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, but went home empty handed.

'Prisoner of Azkaban' was nominated for Best Movie, and the Harry Potter Series was nominated in the Best Book category.

Harry Potter was beaten by The Incredibles and A Series of Unfortunate Events, respectively.

All that matters is WE know Harry Potter is the best!

I'm actually surprised by the later. While ASOUE is good in its own respect, and shouldn't be compared to HP, I just think the HP books are better, and figured that would've won...

Its a phase thing really. Harry Potter isn't in the lime light at the moment, but when the gof film comes out later this year, awards will be won everywhere!

I won't comment about Incredibles, since I haven't seen it yet, but I don't think that 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' is a better book than HP.
I have read all of those books and though I won't deny that I had enjoyed them, they do not come anywhere near Harry Potter.

I won't comment on the Series of Unfortunate Events because of the fact that I haven't read it. But I saw The Incredibles. I'll admit that I loved that movie, but the Prisoner of Azkaban was better by a long shot.

Personally, I agree with this. Harry Potter isn't as popular right now because the two newest things, (OOTP; and POA movie), are old for most people. But when the sixth book and the fourth movie come out, Harry Potter will probably be in the lime light again. *dances around her room because she's so happy*

Thats a shame. Something I've noticed in the past while is that everyone loves HP but it always seems to miss out on the awards. One thing I notice about award shows is that they can be very self orientated depending where they are based. I'm sure that since this was in America, it was mostly American based shows, actors, films and novels that came out the winner. But I suppose that Britain aint that different either, ***Cough*BAFTAs*Cough*** Sorry about that. Bad cough. What was I saying, Oh yes. What I am saying is that I wish that these award shows were less predujice against things that are based outside of their own countries.

HP should've won both because I've seen The Incredibles, it isn't that good, and neither is ASOUE, I would've expected Holes to do well in the movies catagory because that films good. It's the only 1, i thought, that could even try to compare with HP!!

Okay I am going to say what I did in the other forum thing. I was wathcing it, and all those kids in the audience were like 5 years old! They have no respect for literary value of HP!!!! All those kids like nowadays are animated movies. But it was the dumbest Kid's Choice Awards anyways.

Like I said in the other forum, next year we are going to vote 20 times each for GOF movie and HP series!! And if they don't win, then we are going to crash the Award show and steal those blimps and then give them to JK Rowling and the director for GOF.

Now I already got one person who is with me, but WHO ELSE IS WITH ME???

I have to agree with IckleRonnyPrefectLuvrr, I watched the show for a few min. and saw that all of the audience was kids who really probably could care less what book was better and half of them had not read once HP book. But when GoF comes out and HBP, HP will be getting all kinds of nominations I am thinking.

♥ Poet Extraordinaire ♥

I really think the books should have won. I haven't read ASOUE, but I think they beat HP because the books are getting too "dark" for the younger audience. Besides, the ASOUE movie came out more recently than HP, so the kids who voted probably know of it more.

The Incredibles, well they won because the movie is fairly recent as well. I went to Disneyland several weeks ago, and of all the characters that came out (whom you can take pics with), The Incredibles were always the looooongest lines! All the other Disney characters didn't have lines that went on forever.

But I bet Emma's pretty happy that Green Day won best group...

The only reason the series got beats was because the Series of Unfortunate Events was because those books are smaller and all the little kids that get on their site like the books because the movies just came and that got them to like the movies NOT the books... So I think they just voted for that series was because they watched the movies and liked what they saw and I bet over half of those kids didn't even open one of the books.. in fact all they opened was a DVD case.
