| | |  No HBP synopsis pre-July 16th?
In an unusual strategic move, both Bloomsbury & Scholastic have decided NOT to reveal the back covers of the ' Half-Blood Prince' novels, which feature a synopsis of the book, before July 16th.
Images from the back of the jacket won't be released until July 16th, when the book is released, because they apparently 'reveal important plot details'.
In 2003 when ' Order of the Phoenix' was approaching release, pictures from the back of the jackets WERE released, so this is a new move for the publishing houses.
This also means we will not see the synopsis (or blurb) which usually features on the back of the novels also, as that too may contain spoilers. Usually the synopsis encourages people to read the book without giving away the storyline.

Oh, well! I'm actually kinda glad, I want to be completely surprised! I didnt read the synopsis for OotP until I got the book. I'm so excited for July!

I'm reading it all in one sitting, and then again in the morning, and the next day and then all week...lol

How about just showing the background of the back cover without the synopsis? That would sound wonderful. Although it's okay if I don't see it 'till I see the book. Usually, I don't look at that part of the book before reading.

I sort of don't care that I don't get to see it... I didn't really read the spoilers - or teasers - for any HP books before or after I purchase it. It'll just ruin it for me when I'm reading, and I don't want to expect things coming. I want to be surprised all throughout the book. Normally, I read the teasers when I'm just browsing for a book to buy... But not HP, because I know I'm buying it already.....

I don't want to know what goes on till I read it, i was on here while readin OotP and someones avatar ruined what happened to Sirius for me, I knew he was going to die when i was in chapter 4! I was sad.
