The ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands announced today that Harry Potter: the Exhibition's next international and first Asian stop will be in Singapore beginning June 2 to September 30, 2012. Tickets will go on sale starting May 1, 2012.

Peer into the magical world of Harry Potter and get up-close to hundreds of authentic costumes and props from all 8 Harry Potter films.

Featuring artifacts in settings inspired by the film sets, go on a journey through the famous wizard’s world and be transported to areas of Hogwarts™ such as the Gryffindor™ common room, Hagrid’s hut, and the Great Hall. Along the way you can pull a Mandrake from its pot, toss a Quaffle in the Quidditch™ area, and encounter centaurs, Buckbeak™ the Hippogriff and a giant Acromantula spider in the Forbidden Forest.

On display for the first time in Asia, Harry Potter: The Exhibition features all your favorite costumes and props like Harry’s wand and eyeglasses, Hermione’s Yule Ball gown, the Golden Snitch™, the Marauder’s Map and so much more.

Singapore (9 March 2012) Beginning 2 June 2012, visitors of the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands will be swept away into the famous wizard’s magical world with Harry Potter: The Exhibition. For the first time in Singapore and Asia, fans will enjoy a firsthand look inside the Harry Potter films as they experience the amazing craftsmanship of hundreds of authentic costumes and props from the entire film series. Tickets will be on-sale 1 May 2012 and will be available for purchase on the ArtScience Museum website and all Marina Bay Sands box offices.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition, created by Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will run from 2 June 2012 until 30 September 2012.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition will showcase its grand collection of artifacts in wonderfully detailed settings inspired by the film sets. As they tour through the exhibition space, fans will enjoy some of their favorite props and costumes from all the Harry Potter films, including Harry’s iconic wand and eyeglasses, Professor Snape’sTM original costume, the Golden SnitchTM and the Gryffindor school uniforms. Other key items to be featured include Sybill Trelawney’s crystal ball and exotic wardrobe; costumes and props from Professors LupinTM, LockhartTM and UmbridgeTM; artifacts from the Yule Ball, including costumes from such notable characters as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Professor DumbledoreTM; and life-size creatures, including centaurs, a caged dragon, BuckbeakTM the Hippogriff, and a giant Acromantula.

Keeping in line with the Harry Potter immersive movie experience, visitors will be transported to some of their favorite locations in the films via themed vignettes, including the Gryffindor common room, a Hogwarts classroom, Hagrid’s hut, the Forbidden Forest, the Great Hall, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to pull a Mandrake from its pot in the Herbology vignette, toss a Quaffle in the Quidditch area, and tour Hagrid’s hut as part of the exhibition’s highly interactive experience.

Oooh I think I'd MUCH rather go to Singapore than Sydney

Been there, one state away! But I won't be able to go this year

I'll have to see where they go next (if they do - hopefully), perhaps it will be somewhere in the UK so I can go to the Leavesden Tour AND this one

every place it goes, the exhibit adds more material. I saw it in Chicago early on.....HBP movie props were the latest to be added then.

I'm so glad there's finally something for the fans on that side of the globe. Most of the Potter stuff so far has been Europe- and US-based.

Last month I went to the exhibition in Sydney, and it was amazing!!! They had props from every single film, even DH 1 and 2. I was in heaven. Everything was just so brilliant, and the gift shop was massive. I wish I had brought more money that day.

This always happens to me. Last December I visited Perth, in 2 weeks I'm going to Singapore to see Wicked, and in June I'm maximizing the use of my Visa and I'm going to Sydney! It's soooo close and yet so far!
