| | | New W.O.M.B.A.T & updates at JK's website (UPDATED)
Several updates have been made at J.K.Rowling's website including a new W.O.M.B.A.T paper. If you want to know how to get through the "Do Not Disturb" door, highlight the following passage: - Open the door by clicking on it.
- Light the candle by clicking on it.
- Click the quill on the desk.
- Click the W.O.M.B.A.T test paper.
- Click the four-leaf clover on the desk.
- Click and drag the key to the drawer in the desk.
- The paper will appear; click the time-turner (brown circle) to start. UPDATE: Screen caps have been uploaded to the Gallery including visual directions to the paper and screengrabs for each section of the exam. In the news section, Jo talks about eBay, once again reminding fans of the many autograph forgeries which are being sold there. Quote:
Yes, we've been here before, but having strolled over to eBay (come on, I've got to have a break sometimes) I note that the forgers aren't getting any better at my signature. Frankly, some of them are barely trying. So please bear in mind that these 'certificates of authenticity' are not worth the paper they are written on.
Banned Books Week also gets a mention in the news update. Quote:
Once again, the Harry Potter books feature on this year's list of most-banned books. As this puts me in the company of Harper Lee, Mark Twain, J. D. Salinger, William Golding, John Steinbeck and other writers I revere, I have always taken my annual inclusion on the list as a great honour. "Every burned book enlightens the world." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
In the diary section she talks about the invention of the word horcrux. Quote:
Sitting at my desk trying to invent a word yesterday brought back memories of the last time I did so. I had tried for days and days to hit upon the right name for 'the receptacle in which a Dark wizard has hidden a fragment of his soul for the purposes of attaining immortality.'
Finally, after much transposition of syllables, I scribbled 'Horcrux' on a piece of paper and knew it was The One. But what if somebody had already used it? With some trepidation I typed 'Horcrux' into Google and, to my delight, saw what I was looking for: 'Your search - "Horcrux" - did not match any documents.'
So anyway, yesterday I Googled 'Horcrux' again. 401,000 results. As you might imagine, this gave me something of a lift as I went back to scribbling nonsense words on the back of a takeaway menu.
Jo has also shot down some rumours; Snape wasn't hiding under the invisibility cloak on the night the Potters died, Book 7 won't be called Harry Potter and the Graveyard of Memories and Stubby Boardman isn't Regulus Black.
Last, but not least, another FSA was awarded, this time to Potterish.com.
Thanks to One_Less_Then_Molly for the tip! |

The four leaf clover is in the bottom letf corner, when pressed after doing lighting the candle, dipping the quill and clicking the wombat book, it will turn into a key. if you line up the edge of the key in the middle of the handle, the drawer should open.

The "which one's true/ false" questions are really hard. Who am I kidding, they're all really hard.
I'm terrible at multi choice questions as I'm not that decisive!

| Kitty Momma Rachel's Brain Twin w00000000000000000t! I just took it! *waits impatiently bahaha. Awesome awesome awesome news btw, I would have totally missed this, thanks!
For those of you who can't get the key to work (highlight to read): Try letting go of the key on every inch of desk drawer (located on the left), eventually it will work. That's what I did and it worked fine for me. =] *Hugs ya'll* Good luck every one!

The test was kind of hard. I think some may have multiple answers and the last was definitely a trick question. I got Exceeds Expectations on the last one so I hope I do as well this time.

That W.O.M.B.A.T was hard wasn't it? I loved it, and want to get my first score!

strangeseraph, you'll be fine. I didn;t take the first test either, so it was new for me, and really tough.
