| | | New Tom Felton Interview
Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) talked about the Hogsmeade scenes and his character in an interview conducted midway through Prisoner of Azkaban filming. The interview was featured on a special DVD that was only available for purchase in Australia. To download the video, click here.
To read a transcript, click here (scroll down a bit). Quote: Tom Felton - Draco Malfoy ON HIS FAVOURITE SCENE
In this film there were quite a few scenes I enjoyed filming. Probably my favourite, which is a new experience for me altogether, was in Hogsmeade (well, in the film, not in real life). It was an indoor snow set, and I'd never been on or seen indoor snow so to speak, so it was fun. And it was a new experience being in the fake snow while being very hot and sort of sweating in the snow. It's a bit of a daunting experience. It was fun, we had a laugh. ON HIS CHARACTER
Well, Draco himself has matured (slightly). He's still very a annoying, frustrating, little child. I think because of the scene in the second film where my dad and I are in Borgin and Burkes, which got cut out in the final cut, but I think it explains a lot why Draco is acting like this to people who have popularity or people who have better things than him and such. I think during the film, he just opens up more and more about how and why he is like this. It's a good never-ending story why Draco is like how he is.

Sixth | Quote: Interresting. I have always liked Tom as he seems like a genuine person with all the things he does for his fans and that. I was watching Anna and the King the other night on BBC1 only due to the fact that he was in it. It seems to me that he believes that there is something more to do with the way that Draco is that could maybe make people be more sympathetic towards Draco in the sense that it is not really his fault. Ok that came out rather confusingly (cant spell). I agree with Gryffindor_prefect's post ^ I didn't even know Tom was in Harry Potter till my grandmother told me my fave actor was in it. (TOM) I used to watch Anna and the king all the time. I watched it so much I knew every word almost by heart. (please don't hate me anyone for what I am about to say I am a very blunt person and when I know something thats true I must say it.) I don't know who said it, but someone said Tom hasn't read any of the books and thats a lie. He has. He wont read the till that movie is made. In a interview he did in the US month I think it was after they did the 1st movie he said that he didn't want to read the book before hand because they were telling him how to act for the movie. After the movie was over he said in that interview that he had read the 1st book and like it. I don't know if he keep on with what he said and read the other books after the movies but reading one book is reading the books. (Thats all I am going to say because the last time I said what I felt people got up set and I had about 15 pm's saying I shouldn't say what I feel. Sorry but I was rased to say what I feel and I am not changing for anyone.) |

It must have been really neat to play in fake snow. It looked real to me. He looked extra hot in that scene too! |

I guess that's what happens when the movies are so faithful to the books!
