| | | New Pope's book outsells Potter in Germany
'Salz der Erde' (Salt of the Earth), the transcript of a mammoth interview the new Pope (Joseph Ratzinger) gave almost a decade ago, has knocked ' Half-Blood Prince' off the top spot at Amazon.de the German version of Amazon.
It is reported that the book pertaining to Pope Benedict XVI wasn't even in the top 100 on Tuesday afternoon.
We previously told you that a book written by the late Pope had outsold ' Order of the Phoenix' in Poland.

| That's not surprising at all. After all he is from Germany, and the people there would want to know all they can about him. |

| | | *nods* Germans have no humor, nor sense :-P
Why would an interview of a decade ago tell us anything about him NOW? lol... On top of that, i bet JK can do better interviews =P
Germans... my respect, but live on, since i doubt the 78 year old Pope will stay as long as the last one. (Whom i respect. Polish Rule.)

| I think you're right. Germans only buy this book because the pope is German and HBP is certainly way better. Sorry, my dear neighbours, but I don't understand you. |

| I heard about that yesterday. Seems like now everybody wants to know everything about Pope Benedict XVI, but then again who could blaim them. Congrats to him.

| If there was one person whom I want to knock HBP off the top, it would be the pope. But, I think Harry will rise to the top again soon. |

| I'm not surprised about this, but I think HBP can rise to the top again. After all, the pope's book rose really fast. |

Kidd | He's the leader of the Catholic Church. People want to know more about him (his views on women in the church, abortion, etc). Add that to the fact that he's German. Quote: | (Whom i respect. Polish Rule.) | Are you saying that you only respected him because he was Polish? Sorry, but I'm getting sick of hearing of critics of the new pope. He's only been pope for about a day.

| I bet Harry will get back up there soon. I guess it's acceptable since the new pope is from Germany. |
