| | |  New LEGO Harry Potter board game & sets promos + confirmed release dates
Earlier this year, SnitchSeeker first showed photos and footage of the soon-to-be-released LEGO Harry Potter sets and game at the 2010 Toy Fair in New York City. As the release date for the game nears, new promotional images have been released of the characters and sets; they can be found in our galleries. 
A synopsis of the LEGO Harry Potter board game, out on August 1, as confirmed to SnitchSeeker by LEGO, can be read below. Quote:
There are LEGO Games for many different ages, occasions, playing styles and price points. Each one gives you everything you need to start building and playing right in the box, including unique, customizable LEGO Dice and separate instructions for step-by-step building and game play. And the best part of all is that by changing the dice, the board and even the rules, you can have a new game every time you play!
Hogwarts™ - Between the moving staircase & secret passages at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, it can be tricky for players to find their way around Harry Potter’s school. The first player to successfully navigate the magical castle to collect all of their homework from their classes and get back to the common area is the winning wizard.
The individual sets will be available for purchase on October 1, 2010.  | |

If you click on the official HP Lego site above, a lot of the characters are blacked out right now (probably because their promos aren't official yet), which is why Snape's not viewable at the moment (as well as dozens of others).
