A new interview with Jim Dale, the US audiobook reader, has emerged. He talks about the new book, ' Half-Blood Prince' and reveals that he knows who dies. Quote:
"I know who dies," Jim Dale tells CBS News correspondent Mika Brzezinski.

"The worst thing is if somebody leaks it (the book) to them," he says, "because then goes the great excitement of finding out for themselves."

"Well, Harry. I decided in the early days, instead of trying to switch to a voice of Harry, just use my voice, a younger Jim Dale. And over the years, as Harry has aged, then I've allowed my voice to become a little more normal."

"I took my grandson into McDonald's to have a hamburger, and I'm asking in my voice, and I turn around, and two kids there with their eyes so wide open. He said, 'Are you...' and he said, 'Do Dumbledore!' So I'm ordering hamburgers as two different characters from 'Harry Potter.'"

Oh, so someone really dies (as if i didn't know but i just wished it was wrong).. i really hope its not lupin, like he's the only connection left to harry's history. ok, there are others who knew his parents,too, but, oh, well, i just hope its not someone good!

I knew someone was going to die...but having someone who has read the books say so makes it so much more...real. It better not be Lupin (it would be WRONG!),Ron,Hermione, and any of the Weasleys!! I know that dosent leave to many people...but they are what make the books! (well Harry to of course, i dont want him to die..but i already know he cant! There is another book...) oh well...we'll know in 4 days!  | |

I haven't heard any of the audiobooks but if it's as good as you are all making it sound then I think I just might buy one. I love the McDonalds story. I can't believe the kids recognized him just by his voice. I'm not sure I would've. As much as I want to read the books I just don't want anyone to die. I'm worried for all the characters...even Harry (although I'm sure he'll survive this book considering there's still a 7th).

I have never listened to the audio tapes. I usually never listen to the audiotapes. I usually read it out loud sometimes, but usually I just read to myself. I don't know why I read out loud, but I do, lol. That is funny about the whole McDonald's thing. That was nice of him to do that
