they're illustrations. I like this calendar, it's better than the photograph one! the pictures are just so cool, and somehow more related to the movie...I especially like the werewolf...and the shrieking shack...and the dementors chasing harry...and Hedwig...and Hogwarts...oh, who am i kidding? I love them all!!!!!
