NEW: Help in your language! - Español, Svenska, Français, Deutsch, etc Summary:
We have just opened a new section which gives members International Language Support! Learn the site better. Get help from a mod that speaks your own language. Read tutorials. Get to know fans from other countries! Article:
The new section is called The Department of International Cooperation - which is a name taken from 5 and is located in the Ministry of Magic.
If you are a long-time member here and are familiar with the site, please feel free to help others who might be new or less comfortable with how things work!
Even if your name isn't listed as moderator for a section that you speak fluently doesn't mean you can't be one of the most active helpers there!
Please spread the word to your friends and let them know where they can find the friendliest Harry Potter fans from all over the world! |

Hey! It's a great idea, I think it will really help a lot of people. I actually know Hindi, but I don' t know if there are enough members who need help to open a topic for that. If you ever to need help with it, feel free to PM me.

I'm from Holland and speak dutch. I noticed the new International Department, and I was just wondering who I had to ask if they could add dutch to it.
I understand that they can't add every language, but dutch is one of the major languages in the world, and i'm sure that there are more people on the site that speak dutch. Even if I have to manage it alone. Please don't judge me by my amount of points, I can and I will be active on the forum if you make a dutch section. I am a mod on other sites, just thought about saying that if you would think I wouldn't be able to keep up with the mesages.

We have 4 or 5 visitors a day from India. Not a lot when you consider the 5,000+ others. lol. But it's probably because they don't speak such good English.
Do you kknow of any HP sites that are done in Hindi?
If not, maybe there is a slight demand for it. Or maybe not - I wouldn't know.

That's great, I'll let you know if I need help. So far, I haven't gotten pleas for help in Hindi yet but I got a PM from from monababez and she says she can help too. I don't know Tamil, and she knows Punjabi too, which I don't so...Actually I also know Orriya but I doubt anyone's even heard of it unless they're in India.
I'm sorry, I don't know any Harry Potter sites in Hindi Dumbledore. That's actually the first time I'm hearing of it. But maybe if we started a small section for Hindi, and people felt comfortable around it, we might start attracting more Indian users...just a thought.
Considering I got a PM about it and hoh4twins also posted about, those just being the people who read my post, all in one day, there would be quite a few who know the language. I think most of them have learnt in English based schools...I dunno...never lived there...but most those would be the people who would have regular acess to the internet...I know from my parents all business is done in English...Sorry this doesn't really concern the matter does it? :/

My mother tongue is Greek. But I am not sure if there are many visitors from Greece or Greek-speaking. But I can help if you wish. I also have some knowledge in minor languages but I don't think it is useful. |

Graduated | Miss Sarah Bippity Boppity Boo! Even though we have already established this... This is bloody brilliant! And it is very thoughtful of u. I tend to get really pis-- annoyed at the site who completely ignore people from other countries.
I speak Latin... You know... all you Ancient Romans, feel free to contact me! :whisle:
